Brilliant to spend the afternoon at the University Centre of West Anglia in Kings Lynn last week for our latest Acorn Network. There were 60+ students there who are studying early years education and/or child development qualifications. Plus we had guests from across the region and beyond who joined in with playful activities and conversations. I stepped in at the last minute to present a provocation around creativity and allowing ourselves to be creative; Kathryn Le Serve, course Leader, led a really interesting session on Schematic play in early childhood; and movement artist Abby Page got us all up and moving with an inspiring workshop exploring movement and mark making.
It was fabulous to connect with everyone there - especially the students who brought their curiosity and laughter into the space. Our jointly created Padlet of images from the day illustrates the creative ways we used the lecture theatre for play!
Our next network session is going to be online on the 23rd January 2023 with Jess Pitt and Barbara Cavanagh sharing The Froebel Trust funded research project 'Inside Out'. Sign up to our mailing list to get our latest news and booking links.
