Supporting and shaping the early years sector

Supporting early years arts

At Magic Acorns, we’re passionate about supporting and shaping the early years arts sector by nurturing artists and practitioners at every stage of their journey. We create welcoming, playful spaces for experimentation, collaboration, and creative growth.

Who we work with

We welcome artists from all creative backgrounds and experience levels, with no formal qualifications or early years experience required. All you need is curiosity, openness, and a willingness to explore how your practice can connect and learn from the unique world of very young children.

We especially encourage applications from local artists living or working in Great Yarmouth, as we believe in nurturing creativity within our own community.

As a nurtured artist with Magic Acorns, you’ll be invited to co-create and contribute to new arts residencies based in different locations in Great Yarmouth, guided by experienced early years artists.

You’ll also have access to 1-to-1 support sessions with lead artists to help shape your ongoing creative development.

Our residencies bring artists together with children and their families for fluid, experimental arts encounters. Designed for artists to explore new techniques, gain experience working with young children, and develop their practice across disciplines, whilst also providing paid opportunities and mentoring.

We run year-round creative training and professional development sessions aimed at deepening understanding of early years practice. Whether you’re just starting out or expanding your arts practice into the early years, our sessions are full of support and inspiration.
