The Magic Acorns CPD Roadshow
From September, we are embarking on a national Roadshow of Taster Days to gather broader perspectives about early years arts training needs and share our approach to Creative Professional Development (CPD) with artists, educators, and arts organisations across the country. This initiative is supported by Arts Council NLPG.
The Roadshow is more than just training – we’re inviting our partners to step into the world of early years arts through a lens of creativity and collaboration and to strengthen connections across the sector.
Drawing on our hyper-local approach, built over over 25 years working with families in Great Yarmouth and our own successful Play Days CPD model, we will be offering immersive, joyful and radical sessions that prioritise unhurried time and reflective practice.
Our Roadshow Partners
We will be delivering CPD Taster Days with six Roadshow partners over the next nine months, offering a window into how to evolve co-creative practice with very young children.
Each day will combine practical workshop activity with reflection, designed to understand each organisation’s training needs and exchange knowledge, delivered by two Magic Acorns Lead Artists.

Let’s play!Our Play Days offer a unique opportunity for your staff, practitioners and/or delivery team to explore and strengthen their creative practice with us.
We work with a range of settings – from education and health, to arts, culture and community. Past CPD projects include PlayDays with Great Ormond Street Hospital, Hertfordshire Music Service, and Suffolk Artlink.
We will travel to your setting/venue, or hold the training at our space in Great Yarmouth. Each Play Day is specially designed around you, your team and your practice.
